Myanmar’s U Than Swe Receives UN Resident Coordinator Marcoluigi Corsi on Completion of Myanmar Assignment

Yangon, The Gulf Observer: U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr. Marcoluigi Corsi, United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator ad interim (UNRC/HC a.i.) and Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Myanmar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The meeting was held on the occasion of Mr. Corsi’s conclusion of his assignment in Myanmar. During the cordial discussion, both sides exchanged views on matters concerning cooperation between Myanmar and the United Nations throughout Mr. Corsi’s tenure in the country.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also in attendance at the meeting.
