Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Nama Water Services is set to organize Oman Water Week from January 22 to 24, a pivotal event aimed at supporting the future of the water sector in the Sultanate. Bringing together professionals, policymakers, researchers, and experts from the water sector, the conference will serve as a transformative platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and collaboration.

Oman Water Week will focus on shaping a sustainable future, emphasizing the transformation of the water sector to be more resilient, sustainable, flexible, and efficient. The event will cover a broad spectrum of topics, including the impact of climate change on water resources, new technologies and approaches to water management, and the use of water as a source of energy.

Discussions will also delve into the legal and political aspects of water management, exploring the role of public-private partnerships in improving water infrastructure. Qais bin Saud al Zakwani, CEO of Nama Water Services, highlighted Oman’s commitment to a sustainable economy and outlined strategic initiatives aimed at achieving net zero by 2050.
