Namangan Delegation Strengthens Tourism and Investment Ties at ITB Berlin 2025

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: During the ITB Berlin international tourism fair held this March in Germany, the delegation from Namangan region conducted a series of official meetings and negotiations aimed at promoting the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
At the fair, agreements were reached to enhance international media coverage of the 3,000-year-old archaeological site Akhsikent and the 64th International Flower Festival, as well as to attract foreign investments to the region. The delegation also engaged in discussions with international tourism media partners to further cooperation. Specifically, plans were outlined for collaboration with German companies BBC Global Media and Meso, along with British bloggers from platforms The Wondering Englishman and Traveldave.co.uk, and Kazakhstan-based company Welcome.
A key meeting during the fair took place between Seychelles’ Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, and Anvar Ikrom, Director of Namangan’s archaeological museum Akhsikent. Their discussions focused on tourism development, textile exports, and investment cooperation.
In particular, they explored opportunities for exporting textile products manufactured in Namangan to Seychelles’ 700 hotels and 2,000 guesthouses, as well as attracting tourists from Seychelles to Namangan’s renowned International Flower Festival. Minister Radegonde announced his intention to visit Namangan with an official delegation in May 2025, further strengthening bilateral ties between the two regions.
