NCBA Bank Rwanda Expands to Rubavu, Strengthening Regional Banking Access

Kigali, The Gulf Observer: NCBA Bank Rwanda has officially opened a new branch in Rubavu District, marking a significant step in its mission to make banking more accessible, inclusive, and impactful nationwide. The move reflects the bank’s commitment to providing customer-focused financial solutions in regions with strong economic potential.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Managing Director Maurice Toroitich said, “We believe Rubavu’s growing economy holds immense potential. Our presence here is not just about access—it’s about partnership and helping our customers scale their dreams responsibly and sustainably.”
Amb. Dr. Benjamin Rugangazi, Chairman of the NCBA Bank Rwanda Board, emphasized that the expansion aligns with Rwanda’s vision for economic inclusivity and decentralisation, adding, “We are committed to supporting Rwanda’s financial ecosystem and empowering communities beyond Kigali.”
Rubavu, a key gateway for cross-border trade with the Democratic Republic of Congo, offers vast opportunities for imports, exports, hospitality, and agriculture. Local authorities, including Vice Mayor for Economic Development Deogratius Nzabonimpa, welcomed NCBA’s arrival, noting its timely contribution to trade growth, financial capacity, and quality banking services in the region.
The new branch reinforces NCBA’s vision of building a sustainable banking network that inspires growth and empowers communities across Rwanda.
