Oman and Brazil Hold Political Talks in Muscat

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman and the Federative Republic of Brazil held a session of political talks on Sunday in Muscat, marking the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. The discussions were led by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, and Mauro Vieira, Brazil’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the talks, both sides reviewed the progress of bilateral cooperation across various fields and explored avenues for further enhancing economic and trade partnerships. They emphasized the importance of mutual investments in key sectors such as renewable energy and agriculture, highlighting the strategic geographic positions of Oman and Brazil as a means to increase trade exchange and boost joint investments.

The session also covered regional and international developments, with a focus on ongoing efforts to strengthen global security and stability. Minister Vieira praised Oman’s significant role in promoting peace and stability in the region, and expressed Brazil’s commitment to deepening ties with Oman at all levels to foster joint development and prosperity.

Sayyid Badr commended Brazil’s leadership in addressing key international issues that benefit humanity, reinforcing the strong relationship between the two nations. Both ministers stressed the need to promote political dialogue and maintain coordination in international forums to advance common goals.

The session was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, and other officials from both countries.
