Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, hosted Wang Di, Director General of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of the People’s Republic of China, in a meeting on Monday.

The discussions centered on various aspects of cooperation between Oman and China, exploring avenues to enhance collaboration across diverse fields. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the existing ties between the two nations.

In addition to bilateral matters, the officials engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views on the recent developments surrounding Israel’s conflict with the Palestinians in Gaza. The discussion delved into the regional and international repercussions of the ongoing situation, reflecting the shared interest of both countries in understanding and contributing to the resolution of complex geopolitical issues.

The meeting, held at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters, was attended by Li Lingbing, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Sultanate of Oman. Also present was Sheikh Abdulaziz Saif Al Hosni, Head of the Asia-Pacific Department, along with several officials from both Oman and China.

This diplomatic meeting underscored the significance of maintaining open channels of communication between Oman and China, fostering mutual understanding, and addressing shared concerns.
