Oman Condemns Israeli Aggression in Gaza, Urges International Action to Protect Civilians

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned the ongoing military aggression by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, particularly denouncing the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians and vital humanitarian infrastructure.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, Oman expressed deep concern over the bombing of a shelter center affiliated with Dar al-Arqam School in the northeastern Tuffah district of Gaza City, as well as the destruction of a warehouse for medical and relief supplies belonging to the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage.
The Sultanate reiterated its firm rejection of such actions, which it described as grave violations of international humanitarian law and the principles of human rights. It called on the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to take immediate and decisive steps to protect civilians and ensure an end to these violations.
“Oman renews its appeal for urgent and concrete measures to halt the ongoing aggression and to safeguard innocent lives,” the statement read. “The international community must uphold its responsibility to ensure justice for the Palestinian people by ending the Israeli occupation and enabling the Palestinians to achieve their legitimate rights.”
The statement further emphasized Oman’s unwavering support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Oman’s call adds to growing regional and international demands for accountability and urgent humanitarian protection in Gaza, as civilian casualties continue to mount amid sustained hostilities.
