Oman FM, UN Chief Discuss Regional Escalation and Peace Efforts

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, held a telephone conversation with António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, to deliberate on the ongoing regional escalation and its implications for security and stability, as well as international efforts aimed at containing the situation.

During the call, the UN Secretary-General commended the constructive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in facilitating communication and sustaining support for negotiation efforts under all circumstances. He praised Oman’s continued diplomatic engagement and its commitment to promoting dialogue amid heightened tensions.

For his part, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi reaffirmed Oman’s steadfast dedication to initiatives designed to foster peace and security in the region and beyond. He expressed appreciation for the pivotal role undertaken by the UN Secretary-General in advancing diplomatic solutions and supporting international stability.
