Oman, Hungary Discuss Strengthening Environmental Cooperation and Knowledge Exchange

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, received on Monday Dr. Anikő Raisz, State Secretary for Environmental Affairs at Hungary’s Ministry of Energy.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the areas of water resources management, climate change, pollution control, and waste recycling. They also explored prospects for strengthening connectivity through expertise and knowledge exchange programmes, as well as cooperation within international environmental forums, and reviving a number of joint initiatives in these fields.
The discussions further addressed the broader framework of friendship and cooperation between Oman and Hungary across political, economic, and cultural spheres. Both sides commended the current level of coordination between the two countries, the achievements realised to date, and the tangible convergence in their policies and directions in various areas.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qatbi, Head of the International Organisations Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with officials from both sides.
