Oman Launches Naval Drill “Asad Al Bahar” in the Sea of Oman
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) commenced the naval drill “Asad Al Bahar” (Sea Lion) 2/2024 today in the Sea of Oman. The exercise, which runs until September 26, is supported by the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and the Royal Oman Police Coast Guard.
This naval drill is part of the RNO’s comprehensive training plans designed to enhance the operational readiness of its fleet and personnel, in alignment with the national responsibilities assigned to the navy. The exercise aims to ensure the preparedness of Oman’s maritime forces in response to emerging challenges and to reinforce regional security.
