Oman Participates in 4th General Session of Arab Parliament
Cairo, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Council of Oman, took part in the 4th general session of the fourth convening of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament. The session was held on Saturday at the Headquarters of the Secretariat General of the Arab League in Cairo.
The agenda for the fourth session of the Arab Parliament included discussions on reports from various permanent and sub-committees concerning political, security, and social developments in the Arab region. Among the key topics was the report from the Palestine Committee, which highlighted the Arab Parliament’s ongoing concern for the Palestinian cause, particularly in light of the severe conditions in the Gaza Strip that have resulted in thousands of casualties, injuries, and displacements.
Oman’s delegation actively participated in the preparatory committee meetings, which reviewed the latest developments in political, social, security, and legislative matters in the Arab region. These discussions aimed to contribute to the stability, growth, and integration of the Arab world.
The session was presided over by Adel Abdulrahman Al Asoomi, President of the Arab Parliament, and attended by its members. Representing the Sultanate of Oman were Dr. Talib bin Hilal Al Hosni, Member of the State Council; Saria bint Khalfan Al Hadi, Member of the State Council; and Humaid bin Ali Al Nasseri, Member of Majlis A’Shura.
This participation underscores Oman’s commitment to engaging with regional issues and contributing to the collective efforts of the Arab Parliament in addressing the challenges faced by the Arab world.
