Oman Participates in 54th Executive Committee Meeting of OIC Parliamentary Union in Dakar

Dakar, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the State Council, took part in the 54th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Dakar, Republic of Senegal.
The Omani delegation was headed by Mohammed Salim Al Harthy, Member of the State Council. The session was inaugurated by Malick Ndiaye, President of the National Assembly of Senegal.
During the meeting, participants elected the Parliamentary Union’s vice-presidents for the Arab and Asian groups, reviewed follow-up reports, and examined the schedule of upcoming panel meetings.
Delegations discussed pressing issues facing the Islamic world, with a particular focus on the Palestinian cause. They strongly condemned Israel’s continued aggression against the Palestinian people and violations of international law, calling for united efforts to establish peace and stability in the Middle East.
The meeting also aimed to coordinate the parliamentary positions of member states and enhance cooperation in legislation and oversight to support the collective interests of the Islamic nation. It further underscored the importance of fostering dialogue and joint action to address regional and international challenges.
