Oman Participates in Amsterdam Hydrogen Symposium

Amsterdam, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, participated in a prominent symposium on hydrogen held in Amsterdam. The event saw the presence of various international stakeholders and industry leaders.

In his address, Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, highlighted Oman’s strategic initiatives for developing a green hydrogen sector. He outlined the crucial steps taken by Oman to establish a competitive and sustainable hydrogen economy.

Al Aufi emphasized the importance of international cooperation in developing trade corridors for hydrogen and its derivatives, underscoring the need for global collaboration in this emerging sector.

During the symposium, the Omani delegation held several meetings with key organizations, including the Port of Amsterdam and companies involved in hydrogen transportation. These discussions aimed to strengthen the existing partnership between Oman and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the energy and logistics sectors, particularly focusing on the transportation of liquid hydrogen.

This participation reflects Oman’s commitment to advancing its green hydrogen sector and fostering international partnerships to achieve sustainable energy goals.
