Oman Supports Macron’s Call to Halt Arms Deliveries to Israel Amid Gaza Conflict

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its support for the call made by French President Emmanuel Macron to cease the delivery of weapons to Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman described this call as a significant step toward international efforts to halt the escalating war and safeguard innocent civilians from the impacts of conflict.
The Omani government emphasized the necessity of the international community taking decisive actions to stop violence and military escalation in the region. It underscored the importance of adhering to international and humanitarian law, urging an end to all forms of military support that exacerbate the conflict and prolong human suffering.
Oman further called upon all parties involved to return to the dialogue table and commit to a fair and comprehensive political solution that upholds the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with resolutions of international legitimacy.
