Oman takes part in Lebanon International Book Fair 2023

Beirut, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, is taking part in Lebanon International Book Fair 2023, held in Beirut from 13 to 23 October 2023.

Oman’s participation in the event is intended to enhance cultural bonds within the context of a strategy to disseminate Omani culture. The approach highlights Omani intellectual products and consolidates Oman’s presence in such expositions that attract many intellectuals, researchers and knowledge seekers.

The book fair identifies Oman’s publications and its cultural, historical and literary heritage. Participation in the event augments the rate of cultural contact between Oman and other countries of the world, while at the same time highlighting the special nature of Omani culture.

On 19 October, the Ministry will organize, on the sidelines of the fair, an Omani poetry evening that will see the participation of renowned Omani female poet Aisha Al Saifi and Hisham Al-Saqri.
