Oman to host Green Hydrogen Summit

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The activities of the three-day Oman Green Hydrogen Summit’s Conference and Exhibition will commence on Monday at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, in the presence of Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals and a number of ministers, undersecretaries, experts, investors and consultants in the field of green hydrogen.

The green hydrogen summit will kick off with the accompanying exhibition which will see the participation of over 30 companies and establishments concerned with the field of green hydrogen.
Oman hydrogen conference will see the convening of 12 discussion sessions and a number of technical workshops, pillars of which will focus on the green hydrogen strategy and the green hydrogen infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman, the in-country value of green hydrogen chain, partnership and investment in the field of green hydrogen and green hydrogen projects in the Sultanate of Oman among other issues.

The green hydrogen summit is in consistent with the Sultanate’s plans for transformation in the field of energy towards curbing carbon emissions and for achievement of balance between sustainable development and limiting the impacts of climate change, utilisation of clean technology and diversification of sources of energy.

The summit also copes with the steps taken on the Royal Directives of His Majesty the Sultan on announcement of achievement of carbon neutrality.
