Oman Welcomes U.S.-Led Efforts to Consolidate Gaza Ceasefire, Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Statehood

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump to consolidate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to implement the peace plan adopted by the United Nations Security Council under Resolution 2803, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in an official statement.
The statement reaffirmed Oman’s firm support for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, in line with international legitimacy and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Oman emphasized the need for a clear and well-defined roadmap, accompanied by a specific timeline, to ensure the effective implementation of a two-state solution. The ministry noted that such measures are crucial for consolidating regional security and stability, while enabling a transition toward sustainable peaceful coexistence, reconstruction, and prosperous economic development.
The Sultanate reiterated its commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace that safeguards the rights of the Palestinian people and strengthens long-term stability in the region.
