Oman Welcomes U.S.-Led Efforts to Halt Gaza War and Supports Two-State Solution

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the efforts led by the United States of America, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, to halt the war in the Gaza Strip and reach an agreement that ends the suffering of the Palestinian people while ensuring their legitimate rights.
Oman also welcomed Hamas’s response to the proposal, which paves the way for a complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Gaza, facilitates reconstruction, prevents the displacement of the Palestinian people, and supports initiatives aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
Emphasizing its confidence in the ongoing efforts of the international community to find a peaceful and lasting resolution in Gaza, Oman expressed hope that these initiatives would enable the urgent and effective delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians and the establishment of a durable peace based on the two-state solution.
The Sultanate reaffirmed that such an approach would guarantee the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international legitimacy resolutions and the principles of international law.
