Omani Commander Maj. Gen. Mattar Salim Al Balushi Awarded France’s Legion of Honour

Paris, The Gulf Observer: The French government has awarded Maj. Gen. Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), the prestigious French National Order of the Legion of Honour at the rank of Officer during his official visit to the French Republic.
The medal was conferred on behalf of the French government by General Pierre Schill, Chief of Staff of the French Army, during a ceremony at the French Army Headquarters. The event was attended by senior French Army officers and members of the delegation accompanying Maj. Gen. Al Balushi.
The award recognizes Maj. Gen. Al Balushi’s significant efforts in strengthening military cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and France. The National Order of the Legion of Honour, Officer rank, is among France’s highest national decorations, conferred on both French citizens and foreign nationals for outstanding service.
In his remarks, Maj. Gen. Al Balushi expressed deep gratitude to the French government and emphasized his hope for continued growth and prosperity in bilateral military relations. An official reception was also held in his honour upon arrival at the French Army Command Headquarters.
