Pakistan, Iran Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Peace and Security

Pakistan

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The foreign ministers of Pakistan and Iran held a telephone conversation to review regional developments and explore joint efforts to promote peace and security, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday.

The call took place between Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.

Both sides reaffirmed the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran and pledged to strengthen cooperation across multiple fields. They also emphasized the importance of working together in multilateral forums to further deepen bilateral relations.

The latest exchange follows Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Defense Production, Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, calling in mid-September for broader defense cooperation with Iran, underscoring the two neighbors’ commitment to enhancing strategic dialogue.
