Paris 2024 Olympic Games to Begin with Spectacular Opening Ceremony

Paris, The Gulf Observer: The Paris 2024 Olympic Games are set to commence with an extraordinary opening ceremony on Friday evening, as reported by various media outlets. The ceremony will take place along the iconic River Seine, marking a groundbreaking approach to integrating sports into the cityscape.

“Paris 2024 is breaking new ground by bringing sports into the city, and the same will be true of the Opening Ceremony, set to be held in the heart of the city along its main artery: the Seine,” read a statement from the Paris 2024 organizers. The river parade will traverse a 6-kilometer (3.7-mile) route from east to west along the Seine, featuring nearly 100 boats carrying 10,500 athletes competing for medals at the Games.

The opening ceremony will begin at 19:30 local time (22:30 Baku time) and will be open to the general public.

Representing Azerbaijan, judoka Gultaj Mammadaliyeva and boxer Mahammad Abdullayev will proudly carry their nation’s flag during the parade. The Azerbaijani national team is comprised of 48 athletes competing in 17 events across 15 sports.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will conclude on August 11.
