Partnership Formed for the Management and Operation of Mirbat Castle
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Omani Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has formalized an agreement with Mirbat-Sadah Development and Investment Company, solidifying their partnership in managing and operating Mirbat Castle.
The comprehensive agreement extends to the reconstruction and operation of the archaeology antiques market and customs office in the Wilayat of Mirbat, located in Dhofar Governorate.
The signing ceremony, attended by Eng Ibrahim Said al Kharousi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage, and Braik Musallam al Amri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mirbat-Sadah Development and Investment Company, reflects the ministry’s commitment to fostering investment opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The initiative aligns with broader plans to leverage cultural heritage for sustainability and maximum benefit, contributing to the objectives of the 10th Development Plan and its strategic programs. This agreement exemplifies the Ministry’s approach to offering historical landmarks to private companies and SMEs as part of its visionary development strategy.”
