PM of Qatar Meets with Iranian FM to Discuss Regional Tensions

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, held a meeting on Monday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Abbas Araghchi.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the enhancement of bilateral cooperation and explored ways to further support and develop these relations. The talks also focused on the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as ongoing mediation efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire and addressing the rising tensions in the Middle East.

Both sides emphasized the urgent need to end the crimes committed by occupation forces against Palestinians, the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, and the acts of terrorism perpetrated by settlers in the West Bank. They underscored the importance of these measures to prevent further escalation in the region.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani extended his congratulations to His Excellency Abbas Araghchi on his recent appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, wishing him success in his new role.
