PM Shehbaz Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Terrorism on APS Anniversary

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday paid rich tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar tragedy and reiterated his government’s unwavering resolve to maintain a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, vowing to continue relentless and full-scale anti-terror operations until the menace is completely eliminated.
In his message on the anniversary of the APS attack, the prime minister said the supreme sacrifices rendered for Pakistan’s bright future would never go in vain, as the state, security institutions, and the nation remained united and determined to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country.
“Today, we pay tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School Peshawar tragedy, who sacrificed their precious lives for the future of our beloved homeland. This heart-wrenching incident was a great ordeal for the entire nation, which deeply saddened us but failed to break our resolve,” the prime minister said.
He stated that the sacrifices of the innocent children, teachers, and staff of APS would forever remain etched in the national conscience, emphasizing that the complete elimination of terrorism was the only meaningful justice for this heinous crime.
The prime minister expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, saying the entire nation shared their grief and saluted their patience, courage, and resilience.
“Today, as Pakistan once again faces the menace of terrorism, with security personnel and innocent civilians being targeted in various parts of the country, the APS tragedy reminds us that our struggle against terrorism is not yet over,” he said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prayed for the elevation of ranks of all martyrs of the war against terrorism and for strength and patience for their families.
