Pos Indonesia to provide courier, logistics hub services in IKN
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: State-owned courier and logistics company PT Pos Indonesia is ready to provide first hub courier and logistics services by constructing their new building in IKN Nusantara and converting another building in Balikpapan into a warehouse.
“For Pos Indonesia, being involved in the development of IKN is very strategic, and we are trying our best to give very serious attention to it,” President Director of PT Pos Indonesia Faizal R. Djoemadi noted in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
Djoemadi also stated that during the construction stage, logistics is the main requirement in IKN.
“Pos Indonesia is here to provide services that are timely, right quality, and at an efficient price, so that logistics is not a burden, and instead, it supports all projects in the IKN,” he remarked.
President Director of PT Pos Indonesia Faizal R. Djoemadi signed a Cooperation Agreement with an Authority-Owned Enterprise, PT Bina Karya, regarding the Provision of Courier Services and Logistics Hub in IKN Nusantara.
President Director of PT Bina Karya Boyke P. Soebroto said, as a state-owned holding national logistics company, he hopes that Pos Indonesia can support logistical needs in the development of IKN until 2045.
“This is the first time we have collaborated in the service sector for the development of IKN. Hence, we have to find the right partner, namely Pos Indonesia,” Soebroto remarked.
Nusantara is Indonesia’s future capital that is determined and regulated by Law Number 3 of 2022. It is located on the east coast of the island of Kalimantan. The area of IKN Nusantara is almost four times larger than Jakarta, which is approximately 256,142 hectares and the sea area is 68,189 hectares.
IKN Nusantara will change the orientation of development to become Indonesia-centric and function to accelerate the country’s economic transformation.
