Prabowo Urges Graduates to Embrace Failure and Persevere in Pursuit of Truth and Integrity

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President Prabowo Subianto encouraged graduates of the University of the Republic of Indonesia (UKRI) to face challenges with resilience and learn from failure, drawing upon his own life experiences as an example of perseverance and determination.

Speaking at UKRI’s graduation ceremony for 521 students in Jakarta on Saturday, President Prabowo reflected on his long journey toward leadership, including multiple setbacks before his eventual election victory.

“If you want to learn how to deal with failure, I suggest learning from Prabowo Subianto,” he told the graduates. “Falling and rising again — that’s what makes a fighter.”

The President shared that his past electoral defeats taught him patience, strengthened his character, and honed his instincts in confronting deception and adversity. He emphasized that every failure was part of divine will and an essential step toward growth and wisdom.

Prabowo also underlined the vital role of parents, particularly mothers, in shaping one’s path and values. “Be grateful to your mother, and to your father too. Without your father, you would not be here either. The core message I want to convey, the one I live by, is face problems, face challenges,” he said.

Encouraging the younger generation not to yield in the face of difficulty, President Prabowo reminded the graduates that striving for truth and justice often comes with obstacles. “If we want to uphold the truth, we will certainly face challenges and hardships. But the question is, do we give in? Do we surrender? Do we lose? Do we run away? Or do we keep fighting, keep striving to uphold truth, justice, and honesty?” he asked.

Concluding his address, President Prabowo expressed hope that the graduates would remain steadfast in their moral convictions. “I hope you choose the right path — the path of truth, justice, and integrity,” he affirmed.
