President Aliyev Attends Opening of European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen

Copenhagen, The Gulf Observer: The opening ceremony of the 7th Summit of the European Political Community (EPC) was held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, with the participation of heads of state and government from nearly 50 countries.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the high-level gathering. He was welcomed by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, along with other leaders arriving for the event.

This year’s summit focuses on pressing challenges facing Europe, with plenary sessions and roundtable discussions addressing the overall security situation, the Russia-Ukraine war, economic security, migration, as well as traditional and hybrid threats.

The European Political Community, established as an intergovernmental platform, aims to strengthen cooperation in the fields of security, economic stability, and democratic governance. It fosters political and economic coordination both within and beyond the European Union, uniting large and small states in joint efforts to enhance security, stability, and prosperity across the continent.
