President Aliyev Extends Independence Day Greetings to Ukraine

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, celebrated on August 24.
In his congratulatory message, President Aliyev conveyed his best wishes on behalf of himself and the Azerbaijani people, emphasizing the strong historical bonds and traditions of friendship and mutual respect that underpin Azerbaijani–Ukrainian relations.
Highlighting the ongoing development of bilateral ties, the Azerbaijani leader noted that political dialogue and cooperation in the economic, transport, energy, and humanitarian spheres continue to enrich relations between the two nations. He commended the mutual support demonstrated by both countries on matters of territorial integrity and sovereignty, stressing that such solidarity is firmly grounded in international law.
President Aliyev further underlined Azerbaijan’s readiness to continue providing humanitarian support and assistance to the people of Ukraine. Expressing confidence in the future of Azerbaijani–Ukrainian cooperation, he voiced optimism that joint efforts would further deepen the friendship and partnership between the two states in line with the aspirations of their peoples.
Concluding his message, the Azerbaijani head of state wished President Zelenskyy good health, happiness, and success, while extending his hopes for peace and tranquility for the people of Ukraine.
