President Aliyev Meets Chairman of CCCC in Tianjin to Discuss Transport and Infrastructure Cooperation
Tianjin, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with Song Hailiang, Chairman of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), in Tianjin to explore new prospects for cooperation.
The discussions highlighted the favorable investment climate in Azerbaijan and opportunities for CCCC to expand its presence in the country. Particular attention was given to the development of the Trans-Caspian transport corridor and the company’s potential participation in the second phase of the Baku International Sea Port project.
The meeting also addressed CCCC’s areas of expertise, including the improvement of transport infrastructure, construction of metro stations, manufacturing of equipment, and the integrated development of urban transport systems.
Chairman Hailiang informed President Aliyev that the company would present conceptual proposals for the cleaning and rehabilitation of lakes on the Absheron Peninsula, underlining CCCC’s interest in contributing to Azerbaijan’s environmental sustainability efforts.
The talks further reviewed large-scale projects aimed at strengthening Azerbaijan’s transport and transit potential, which have positioned the country as a key regional and international transport hub.
