President Aliyev Simplifies Visa Procedures for 2025 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Visitors

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order introducing simplified visa procedures for foreigners and stateless persons traveling to the Republic of Azerbaijan to attend the 2025 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
According to the presidential order, between August 25 and September 30, visitors can obtain visas upon arrival at international airports across Azerbaijan. The measure aims to facilitate the travel of participants, officials, and fans of the prestigious sporting event.
To qualify for a visa on arrival, travelers are required to present one of the following: proof of permanent accreditation by Formula One Management Limited or the International Automobile Federation (FIA), accreditation with the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, or a valid ticket—or confirmation of ticket purchase—for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Baku.
The order also instructs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Formula One Management Limited, the FIA, and relevant authorities abroad to be notified of the simplified procedures. Additionally, information on the process, including the availability of electronic visas through the “ASAN Visa” system, will be published on the official websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Azerbaijan’s diplomatic missions overseas.
Furthermore, the State Migration Service has been tasked with ensuring that airlines operating flights to Azerbaijan are fully informed about the updated visa procedures for travelers attending the Grand Prix.
The 2025 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is expected to draw thousands of international visitors, highlighting Azerbaijan’s role as a key destination for major global sporting events.
