President Aliyev Underscores Azerbaijan–Türkiye Unity in Post-Earthquake Reconstruction Efforts

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Türkiye’s post-earthquake recovery, highlighting its active participation in reconstruction efforts in Kahramanmaraş province, including the construction of the “Azerbaijan” neighborhood.
In a letter addressed to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the third anniversary of the devastating 2023 earthquake, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan’s contribution reflects a fraternal duty and the enduring bonds between the two countries.
“As an expression of our fraternal duty, Azerbaijan has contributed to the reconstruction and restoration efforts in Kahramanmaraş province, actively participating in the construction of the ‘Azerbaijan’ neighborhood. Azerbaijan’s support for the reconstruction and development efforts of the brotherly country is a vivid manifestation of our friendly and allied relations,” President Aliyev stated.
He further expressed confidence that the strong unity and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, grounded in the principle of “One nation, two states,” would continue to foster prosperity for both peoples.
“I am confident that the strong unity and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye will continue to contribute to the prosperity of our peoples, while serving as a cornerstone of regional stability, security, and sustainable development,” the head of state added.
