President Berdimuhamedov Attends 80th UN General Assembly Plenary Session in New York

New York, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on a working visit to the United States, attended the plenary meeting of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, marking the organization’s 80th anniversary, Watan Habarlary reported on Monday.

At John F. Kennedy International Airport, President Berdimuhamedov was warmly received by Turkmenistan’s official delegation.

The high-level anniversary session was inaugurated by Annalena Baerbock, President of the 80th UN General Assembly. The agenda for the session includes key global issues such as security and stability, implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, reform of the UN system and international financial architecture, as well as measures to address climate change and other pressing global challenges.

Prior to the session, Turkmenistan outlined its priorities for the 80th UN General Assembly, emphasizing its commitment to international cooperation and sustainable development.
