President Berdimuhamedov Congratulates Participants of World Turkmen Humanitarian Association Conference

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended his congratulations to participants of the 26th Conference of the World Turkmen Humanitarian Association (WTHA), convened in Ashgabat during the International Year of Peace and Trust. The forum is dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the 30th anniversary of its permanent neutrality, state media reported on Friday.

In his message, President Berdimuhamedov underlined that the conference plays a key role in strengthening unity and fraternal ties among Turkmens living abroad. He emphasized the enduring significance of Turkmenistan’s independence and its status of permanent neutrality, which has been recognized three times by the United Nations General Assembly, calling these principles the cornerstone of the country’s statehood and international standing.

The head of state expressed appreciation to members of the WTHA for their contribution in advancing the ideals of peace, friendship, and humanitarianism, and wished participants success in further enhancing Turkmenistan’s reputation and expanding relations with Turkmens worldwide.

The World Turkmen Humanitarian Association is an international public organization uniting Turkmens residing across different countries. Its mission is to support cultural, linguistic, and family connections with the historical homeland, preserve national traditions, promote Turkmen heritage, and foster cooperation with compatriots abroad.
