President Berdimuhamedov Meets Russian PM to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Friday during Mishustin’s visit to participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, as reported by TASS.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia, particularly in the construction of Russian-language schools and the opening of branches of Russian institutes and universities in Turkmenistan. Prime Minister Mishustin emphasized the positive trajectory of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
“The meeting with the respected President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, took place, as always, in a very warm, friendly atmosphere. We thoroughly discussed our entire bilateral agenda. We noted that the growth of our trade and economic cooperation continues steadily,” Mishustin commented after the meeting.
The talks also covered humanitarian cooperation, highlighting the continued construction of Russian-language schools and the development of regional ties.
Additionally, President Berdimuhamedov received the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration, Akylbek Japarov, further underscoring Turkmenistan’s commitment to fostering strong regional partnerships within the CIS framework.
