President Erdogan Arrives in Rio de Janeiro for G20 Summit
Rio De Janeiro, The Gulf Observer: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday afternoon to participate in the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
Upon landing at Galeão Air Base, President Erdogan was welcomed by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Brazil, Halil Ibrahim Akça, and officials from the Brazilian Foreign Ministry. He was accompanied by First Lady Emine Erdogan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and senior Turkish officials.
The G20 Summit, themed “Construction of a Just World and a Sustainable Planet,” will take place over two days, beginning Monday. Leaders from 19 major economies, the European Union, and the African Union will convene to address pressing global challenges.
President Erdogan is expected to hold bilateral meetings with fellow G20 leaders and key officials during the summit, furthering Türkiye’s commitment to international cooperation and dialogue.
The summit’s agenda focuses on fostering global sustainability and justice through discussions in three key sessions, providing an opportunity for participating nations to collaborate on critical economic, environmental, and social issues.
