Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan signed an order on Friday to approve the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of military intelligence in the field of defense,” media reports.
The agreement, which was signed on June 7, 2024, in Baku, outlines mutual cooperation between the two countries in military intelligence and defense.
Following the President’s order, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan is mandated to ensure the implementation of the agreement’s provisions once it enters into force. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has been instructed to notify the Government of Kazakhstan regarding the completion of domestic procedures necessary for the agreement’s enactment.
This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening the defense relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, fostering enhanced military collaboration and intelligence sharing.
