President Ilham Aliyev Awards Defense Personnel for Outstanding Service to Azerbaijan

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has signed a presidential order recognizing the special services of military personnel and civilian employees of the Ministry of Defense in preserving the independence and territorial integrity of the country.
The awards were granted in acknowledgment of their exemplary fulfillment of duties and responsibilities assigned to their respective military units, as well as their dedication and distinguished service.
According to the official decree, the following honors were bestowed:
- Six individuals received the 3rd degree “For Service to the Fatherland” Order;
- Six were awarded the “For the Fatherland” Medal;
- Four were honored with the “For Bravery” Medal;
- Forty-seven individuals received the “For Military Services” Medal.
In a separate presidential order, four officers of the Ministry of Defense were promoted to the high military rank of Major General in recognition of their outstanding professional achievements and contributions to national defense.
These honors underscore the Azerbaijani state’s commitment to recognizing the valor, professionalism, and loyalty of its armed forces and defense personnel.
