President Ilham Aliyev Awards Media Professionals on 150th Anniversary of Azerbaijan’s National Press

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has issued an official Order to honor media representatives in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s National Press, recognizing their significant contributions to the development and advancement of the national media landscape.
According to the Presidential Order, 26 individuals were awarded the “Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, acknowledging their professional dedication and achievements.
In addition, the “Labor” Order of the 1st degree was conferred upon one individual, while ten others received the “Labor” Order of the 3rd degree. A total of 137 individuals were presented with the “Progress” medal for their contributions to the growth and modernization of Azerbaijani media.
Furthermore, in recognition of their outstanding service and impact on the national press, 26 individuals were granted the prestigious title of “Honored Journalist of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
The Presidential Order also awarded individual scholarships to three prominent media figures in appreciation of their long-term, fruitful work and special contributions to the development of journalism in Azerbaijan.
This wide-ranging recognition reflects the Azerbaijani state’s continued commitment to supporting and strengthening the role of a free, professional, and progressive press in national development.
