President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Azerbaijani People on Ramadan

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended warm congratulations to the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of Ramadan, conveying his best wishes for peace, prosperity and unity.
In a message addressed to the nation, the president described Ramadan as a sacred period symbolizing spiritual and moral purification, as well as compassion, solidarity and noble intentions. He noted that the holy month, during which the Quran was revealed, provides an opportunity for Muslims to fulfill their religious duties and engage in acts of kindness, mutual assistance and mercy.
Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan’s longstanding tradition of peaceful coexistence among different faiths and cultures, emphasizing the role of Islam in promoting values of peace, humanism and brotherhood. He said these principles have contributed significantly to preserving the country’s ethnic and cultural diversity while fostering tolerance, mutual respect and national unity.
The president noted that Ramadan each year strengthens solidarity and equality among citizens, transforming the holy month into a celebration of goodwill and generosity.
On the occasion, Aliyev also paid tribute to Azerbaijan’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity, honoring their legacy with deep respect.
Extending his greetings to Azerbaijanis living abroad, the president wished all families happiness, prosperity and abundant blessings, expressing hope that their fasting and prayers would be accepted.
