President Ilham Aliyev Inaugurates Renovated Garabagh University in Khankendi

Khankendi, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the newly renovated Garabagh University in the city of Khankendi on September 20. During the ceremony, the president met with the university’s teaching staff and students, delivering a speech to mark the occasion.
In his address, President Aliyev highlighted the significance of the event, which coincided with the celebration of State Sovereignty Day. He expressed confidence that this day would be widely commemorated in Azerbaijan moving forward.
“We are celebrating this day together in Khankendi, and I am confident that September 20 will be extensively commemorated in Azerbaijan from now on,” the president remarked.
President Aliyev also emphasized the historic importance of September 20, marking one year since Azerbaijan’s full restoration of state sovereignty. He praised the successful anti-terror operation carried out by the Azerbaijani Army, which led to the defeat of separatist forces and reasserted the country’s control over its territories. “As a result of the anti-terror operation that lasted less than a day, separatists were wiped out, Azerbaijan fully ensured its state sovereignty, international law triumphed, and Azerbaijan demonstrated its strength once again,” he stated.
In addition to the university’s reopening, President Aliyev inaugurated a newly renovated student dormitory, further enhancing the facilities at Garabagh University. The renovations are seen as part of the broader efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure in the region.
The event underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to restoring and developing the liberated territories, with Garabagh University standing as a symbol of the country’s progress and resilience.
