President Ilham Aliyev Offers Condolences to Vietnamese Counterpart Over the Passing of Nguyen Phu Trong
Baku, The Gulf Observer: In a heartfelt message, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev extended his deepest condolences to his Vietnamese counterpart To Lam following the death of distinguished statesman Nguyen Phu Trong. Nguyen Phu Trong, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, was recognized for his substantial contributions to the political landscape and the fostering of international relations.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Nguyen Phu Trong, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and a distinguished statesman,” President Aliyev expressed in his message of condolences.
President Aliyev highlighted Nguyen Phu Trong’s pivotal role in fortifying the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam. “Nguyen Phu Trong made significant contributions to strengthening the good traditions of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam. We highly appreciate Nguyen Phu Trong’s efforts in the development of our interstate relations,” he noted.
In his message, President Aliyev conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the people of Vietnam during this period of mourning. “In this time of great loss, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I express my deepest condolences to you, the family and relatives of the deceased, and to the entire people of Vietnam,” he added.
