President Ilham Aliyev Praises Pakistani Media’s Support at Shusha Global Media Forum

Shusha, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from Pakistani media during his address at the second Shusha Global Media Forum themed “Unmasking False Narratives: Confronting Disinformation,” according to media reports.

“I can tell you that from Pakistani media, we always feel brotherly support,” President Aliyev stated. “When it comes to Pakistan, we always feel this brotherly support, with very friendly publications and statements. We are very grateful for that.”

Highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in combating disinformation, President Aliyev proposed the establishment of a joint media working group. “Uniting the efforts in this area, I think, is a very good idea. I think we can establish a joint media working group to support each other in different directions, where we have access to some international media for you and vice versa. We need to do this not only with Pakistan but also with many other friendly countries,” he emphasized.

The forum, dedicated to addressing the challenges posed by false narratives and disinformation, saw participation from global media representatives and experts, fostering dialogue on strengthening media cooperation and integrity.
