President Ilham Aliyev Receives Speaker of Croatian Parliament, Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday received a Croatian delegation led by Gordan Jandroković, Speaker of the Parliament of Croatia.
During the meeting, Speaker Jandroković, who was paying his first visit to Azerbaijan, expressed admiration for the beauty of Baku and congratulated President Aliyev on his dedicated service to the Azerbaijani state and people. He also extended congratulations on the progress achieved in Washington toward advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Highlighting that relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia are at a high level, Jandroković emphasized the potential for further strengthening interparliamentary cooperation. He pointed to the active role of friendship groups in both parliaments and stressed the importance of expanding collaboration among parliamentary committees.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked the Croatian Speaker for his kind words and congratulations, underscoring the historic significance of the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He praised the positive trajectory of Azerbaijani-Croatian relations and acknowledged Croatia’s consistent support for enhancing Azerbaijan’s partnership with the European Union and NATO.
Both sides reaffirmed that relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia are built on principles of friendship and mutual partnership. They noted the broad potential for cooperation in the fields of energy, investment, tourism, and other sectors, while also discussing prospects for strengthening collaboration within international parliamentary organizations.
