President Ilham Aliyev Receives UAE Business Delegation to Discuss Economic Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, received a high-level delegation of business representatives from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday. The delegation was led by Mr. Syed Basar Shueb, CEO and Managing Director of International Holding Company (IHC).

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the robust and expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE, particularly in the areas of economic development and trade. The leaders underscored the significance of reciprocal visits by President Ilham Aliyev to the UAE and by UAE President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Azerbaijan, which have served to further deepen bilateral ties.

President Aliyev highlighted the favorable business and investment climate that Azerbaijan has created for both domestic and international investors. The contributions of UAE companies to various sectors of Azerbaijan’s economy were commended, reflecting the growing confidence of Emirati investors in the country’s economic potential.

The discussions also explored cooperation opportunities in key sectors, including investment, industry, and mining. Both sides expressed confidence that the visit of the UAE business delegation would lead to productive engagements and tangible outcomes that further bolster Azerbaijan–UAE economic relations.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding strategic partnerships across a range of sectors.
