President Mirziyoyev Congratulates Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Birthday

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a telephone conversation on Saturday with the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to extend warm birthday congratulations.

During the conversation, President Mirziyoyev sincerely wished Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov good health, family happiness, and continued well-being, along with peace and prosperity for the brotherly people of Turkmenistan.

President Mirziyoyev commended Berdimuhamedov’s pivotal role in the establishment and sustainable development of modern Turkmenistan, his contributions to enhancing the country’s international stature, and his enduring efforts to deepen the bonds of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

In response, the National Leader of the Turkmen People conveyed the cordial greetings of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to the President of Uzbekistan.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the unprecedented level of bilateral cooperation reached in recent years, attributing this progress to the consistent and productive dialogue between the heads of state. It was noted that close interagency cooperation is actively maintained, with steady growth in trade turnover and freight transportation.

The sides acknowledged the successful implementation of joint projects, including the imminent completion of the “Shavat – Dashoguz” cross-border trade zone. They also highlighted the growing cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two nations.

Looking ahead, both countries plan to host a series of high-level events, including the next session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, the Interregional Forum, and the Business Council.

The two leaders also discussed regional cooperation issues, particularly the upcoming Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, set to be held in Tashkent in September this year.
