President of Turkmenistan Attends Victory Parade in Beijing

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, took part in commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II on Wednesday in Beijing, according to official Turkmen media.
A grand military parade was held at Tiananmen Square, attended by 26 world leaders, including the presidents of Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries. The parade underscored China’s commitment to peace and its respect for the memory of national heroes.
On the sidelines of the event, President Berdimuhamedov held bilateral talks with President Xi Jinping. Discussions focused on strengthening Turkmenistan–China strategic cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, economy, and transportation.
A key outcome of the talks was the signing of a package of bilateral agreements, which provide a solid foundation for further expanding the partnership between the two countries.
In addition, Berdimuhamedov attended the “SCO+” meeting, where he reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s adherence to its policy of neutrality and emphasized the importance of promoting dialogue and constructive cooperation in the region.
Following the conclusion of his official program in China, President Berdimuhamedov departed from Beijing International Airport for Ashgabat, where he was seen off by senior Chinese officials.
