President of Turkmenistan receives Israeli Ambassador
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to Turkmenistan Ismail Haldi, who presented his credentials to the Head of the State on Tuesday in Ashgabat, the official Turkmen media reported.
Ismail Haldi expressed his sincere gratitude and conveyed warm greetings, best wishes from Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
President Berdimuhamedov, thanking for the kind words and conveying reciprocal greetings and best wishes to Israeli officials, congratulated Ismail Haldi on his appointment to the responsible post and wished him great success in his work.
Following the meeting, the Turkmen President stressed the productive nature of Turkmen-Israeli cooperation within the United Nations and its specialized agencies.
In addition, the sides discussed intensifying cooperation in several key areas, taking into account the two countries’ interests and emerging prospects. One of the priority areas of cooperation was identified as trade and economics.
Turkmen President emphasized the importance of holding forums and meetings with representatives from both public and private sectors. Agriculture is one of the hot topics in bilateral relations. Turkmenistan is interested in learning about Israel’s agricultural experience and collaborating on new technologies for water resource management and desalination.
At the end of the meeting, the Israeli ambassador once again thanked President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the good wishes and assured that he would do his part to help strengthen and deepen the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries.
