President Pezeshkian

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed satisfaction over the expansion of relations between Iran and Tajikistan, emphasizing the countries’ shared linguistic, historical, cultural, and civilizational bonds.

Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with his Tajik counterpart, Emomali Rahmon, on the sidelines of an emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on Monday. The summit brings together leaders from the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to coordinate a collective response to a recent Israeli airstrike on Qatar.

“Iran and Tajikistan have strong capacities for cooperation, and activating them will serve the interests of both nations,” Pezeshkian said, adding that the Israeli regime, backed by the US and European countries, recognizes no bounds for its crimes. He stressed that unity and solidarity among Islamic countries are essential to halt ongoing atrocities.

President Rahmon echoed Pezeshkian’s remarks, noting that the two countries have numerous avenues for collaboration. He affirmed his personal commitment to activating these capacities and expanding mutual cooperation. Rahmon also expressed satisfaction with Iran’s agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and reiterated the importance of Islamic unity in preventing further crimes by Israel.

The meeting highlighted both nations’ dedication to strengthening bilateral relations while emphasizing collective action among Islamic countries in response to regional security challenges.
