President Pezeshkian, Saudi Crown Prince Call for Stronger Islamic Unity

President Pezeshkian

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday underscored that unity among Islamic countries could serve as a powerful deterrent against aggression, stressing the critical responsibility of major Muslim nations in safeguarding the Islamic world.

Speaking during a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of an emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, President Pezeshkian said that if Islamic countries stand united, “the Israeli regime would not dare to attack any Muslim nation.”

He voiced satisfaction with the growing momentum in Tehran–Riyadh relations and reiterated Iran’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Saudi Arabia across bilateral, regional, and international levels. Stronger ties, he said, would serve not only the two nations but also contribute to regional stability and the broader interests of the Muslim world.

For his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the importance of empowering Islamic nations to preserve their independence, dignity, and ability to resist excessive Israeli demands. He urged immediate joint efforts to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Palestine and Gaza.

“Our region is in a critical state,” the Crown Prince warned, stressing that reinforcing cooperation and unity among Islamic countries is not merely an option but an absolute necessity.
