President Prabowo Receives Letters of Credentials from Seven Ambassadors at Merdeka Palace
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto formally welcomed seven new ambassadors to Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace on Monday, strengthening diplomatic ties with a range of countries. The envoys, representing nations from Europe, Asia, and Africa, presented their letters of credentials in a ceremony marked by formalities and the warmth of Indonesia’s diplomatic tradition.
The ambassadors included Marc Gerritsen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Roberto Sarmento de Oliveira Saores of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste; Martin Makururu of the Republic of Zimbabwe; Oybek Eshonov of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Wang Lutong of the People’s Republic of China; Abdelouahab Osmane of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria; and Enkhtaivan Dashnyam of Mongolia. Most ambassadors were accompanied by their spouses and were received by members of the Presidential Security Guard (Paspampres) with a ceremonial guard of honor.
The ambassadors arrived at the Palace around 2:07 p.m., where they were formally welcomed before proceeding to the credentials room to meet with President Prabowo. The presentation of credentials underscores Indonesia’s commitment to enhancing diplomatic and cultural relations with each represented country.
This occasion represents a continued effort by Indonesia to foster and expand international partnerships, underscoring President Prabowo’s dedication to strengthening the country’s global connections and collaboration in various sectors.
